NAIO™ supports embodied awareness of the life process.
It is a holistic awareness approach to well-being based on the practitioner’s soft, listening, attuned gentle touch
and awareness of movements that support the client to experience themselves in new, non-habitual and creative ways.
NAIO™ can induce deep relaxation, a by-product can be the resolution of imbalances. Over time a deepening ability can emerge
for better self-regulation and resilience for life's challenges. Through experiential awareness it introduces new ways of
sensing, feeling, and relating. The experiential learning process transforms our relationship and understanding of
the body, movement, life experience and perception in a gentle manner.
As a somatic practice it offers a pathway for individuals to cultivate a deep and intimate relationship with
their bodies, fostering self-awareness, healing, and personal growth.
By paying close attention to bodily sensations and movement patterns, individuals develop a heightened awareness of their bodies and gain insight into their physical and emotional states.
Supporting nervous system regulation supports the embracing of life more fully. This includes a nervous system that can move from healthy sympathetic to parasympathetic, and any combinations of the two when needed.
Better nervous system regulation
supports self-agency.
Developing greater sensory awareness
is grounding, nourishing, if not liberating.
It enhances bodily-awareness and
self-awareness. This supports a better sense
of interconnection between self and life.
Encouraging personal growth, creativity and improved presence for the demands of life.
The combination of presence, attuned collaboration, compassionate touch, with meditative states, increases bodily and self awareness. A by-product can be the improvement of physical pain and discomfort. Addressing restrictions or imbalances within the soma, helps promote better fluid movement, and release of muscle tension.
The attuned collaboration between practitioner and client supports
co-regulation. This promotes a deep relaxation and a state of calm in the body. Individuals enter a parasympathetic state, which supports the body's natural healing and restoration processes.
Compassionate touch is a fundamental biological need. Gentle touch and attunement, fosters a heightened
sense of bodily awareness.
This increased awareness can support individuals to better recognize and address areas of tension, trauma, or imbalance within their bodies eventually leading to better self-regulation and agency.
Deep meditative states with awareness to internal movements can enhance emotional well-being and also reduce stress response by promoting greater self-awareness and relaxation. Studies have also shown lowering levels of inflammation, and stress hormones in meditators
