The Matrix module explores the The Matrix module explores the dynamic frameworks that sustain and connect life on multiple levels—biological, ecological, and cosmological. Etymologically rooted in the Latin mater (mother), "matrix" refers to a generative source, a plenum, a potent substrate that orchestrates life and creates structure, support, and nourishment.
The Open Order - emerges as Biologos, organizing life in a way that creates sensitive, chaotic patterns. The matrix encompasses DNA, epigenetics, and mitochondria, the cytoplasm that sustains cellular activity, and the intercellular matrix (ICM), also referred to as the extracellular matrix (ICM), providing cells with structural and biochemical reinforcement and dynamism.
The program also delves into the function of the interstitial-fascial, a continuous network of connective tissue that connects muscles, organs, and the skeletal system,
acting as both a structural support and a vitality reservoir.
This seamless integration, from the DNA to the intracellular matrix to the extracellular matrix, reflects a unified dynamic whole that sustains our cellular, physical, and energetic states—thus our lived experience.
Ecologically, the matrix reflects the interdependence of natural systems, while cosmologically, the matrix mirrors the interconnectedness of the universe, from quantum fields to the cosmic web, creating a parallel between the microcosm of our bodies and the macrocosm of existence.
Therefore, our corporeal form is an embodied, embedded, continuous participant within existence (GAIA), reflected in the cosmological, ecological, and biological matrix of life.
In this module, we continue explore the influences and principles of NAIO™ through the lens of the Matrix—a dynamic and interconnected web. Participants are introduced to the foundational theories and embodied experiences that underpin NAIO™, emphasizing how these principles reflect the biological, ecological, and cosmological unity of systems. This understanding supports the development of a practice as a somatic educator and healthcare practitioner, integrating holistic awareness of the interconnected matrix of Gaia that sustains embodied-lived experience.
Module Objective
The Matrix Module immerses participants in the interconnected systems that orchestrate and sustain life, emphasizing the principles of NAIO™. Participants will continue to explore the philosophical and historical development of NAIO™, gaining an understanding of its meta-themes while developing practical skills in Open Awareness, settling, and self-regulation. This approach helps people connect with their own sense of wholeness, natural fluidity, and alignment with the ordering matrix of life—a vast plenum of emergent gnosis that flows as processes inside cells to bigger patterns in the universe and in the environment.
Through embodied practices, participants cultivate compassionate relational skills, including self-reflection, listening, and touch-based resonance. The program integrates knowledge of the biological matrix, from DNA, mitochondria, and epigenetics to fascia, bones, interstitial fluids, and the extracellular matrix, revealing how these systems form a unified whole. Participants also deepen sensory awareness, exploring life’s polyrhythmic movements within the crystalline matrix through somatic education principles grounded in the latest scientific insights.
The NAIO™ Matrix curriculum provides an in-depth exploration of interconnected matrices that support life across scales:
Participants will develop a deeper understanding of how these systems interconnect and integrate within the body and the larger web of life.
The Matrix module consists of 110-hours of multi-modal study. Consisting of the following six constituents:
NAIO™ International training programs are designed with layers of experience and learning opportunities in mind. The intention
is to support people sensing, feeling and becoming deeply connected with the
holistic life awareness process of NAIO™.
The Matrix in-person retreat is scheduled over 5-6 days. Each day consists of 7-8 class hours of learning, discussions and experience. Lunch and tea breaks are included. This totals 40-hours of in-person attendance.
The Matrix in-person online tutorials consist of four days (usually over 2 weekends) of 5-hour tutorials with breaks included. This totals 20-hours of in-person attendance.
The Matrix self-paced online tutorials mirror and support topics delved into for the Basis module. Designed to support the integration of Naio™ the tutorials include awareness practices for participants. This totals 20-hours of attendance.
Training participants are given a suggested reading list of books and also module materials. They can explore the materials at their leisure and also explore related anatomy and physiology concepts for the Matrix module. A home-study log is required of hours spent. This totals 25-hours of study.
Training participants schedule an in-person salon with Naio™ founder and educator Prue Jeffries for each module. The salon is an open ended choice around training topics pertinent to the Basis module and practitioner development of Naio™ . This totals 2-hours of in-person attendance.
Matrix training participants schedule an in-person group salon with Naio™ founder and educator Prue Jeffries for each module. The salon is designed as an open ended gathering around training topics pertinent to the Basis module and practitioner development of Naio™ . This totals 3-hours of in-person attendance.
Matrix module participants in the 900-hr NAIO™ Practitioner Training Path are asked to complete the entire module, including home-study and submit their log hours. This includes finishing the online portal lessons and built in quizzes. Quizzes and reflective writings help educators learn how to best support you, and be aware of your assimilation of knowledge. Quizzes are not graded; they are guides and a feedback mechanism for participants and educators.
During the practitioner path there are practicum assessments, home study, projects, reflective exercises and ongoing review of training participants with educators throughout the program's length. Requirements for graduation of the entire certification program also include the training directors ongoing evaluation of suitability throughout the program.
To enter the NAIO™ Practitioner Training Program please also see all prerequisites needed on the website here:
Upon completing the Matrix Module, participants will achieve the following competencies, grounded in the exploration of life’s interconnected matrices:
This curriculum fosters a deep understanding of the body’s interconnected systems, preparing participants for advanced applications in somatic education and health practices.
The entire 110-hour module costs $1250.00 USD.
This includes access to the online learning portal for the module and also training materials.
Fees may vary in different global locations outside the USA to accommodate cost of living indexes,
and also travel costs for educators.
The $1250.00USD consists of:
$450.00 for the online learning components of the module and training materials.
The 5-Day, 40-hour retreat is $800.00 USD.
Module participants are expected to complete the entire six constituents of the Matrix module even if they do not wish to follow
the NAIO Practitioner Training Program.
Module participants who finish the entirety of the six constituents of the Matrix module will receive a Certificate of Completion.
A Certificate of Completion for the Basis module is a prerequisite for studying further modules of NAIO™, and one of the prerequisites for entering the NAIO Practitioner Training Program.
NAIO International is a member of the following organizations
The NAIO Practitioner Training program maintains the high standards of an Approved Training Program of the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA).
