The Physis module explores Being and Becoming. Bodily-Being (physis) is an emerging process home to a subjective living experience evolving in unity with all life. Underlying principles of NAIO™ such as the eternal, timeless, unchanging Being which underpins the creative, changing, transforming of Becoming are explored.
The underlying fecundity of biointelligent movements that generate conception, gestation, and emergence are studied. The morphogenesis of our development is examined further from earlier modules, and how this guides tissue orchestration into the shaping of our human-ess.
Physis develops practitioners' knowledge by studying embryology to understand how our bodily-being develops and is informed continously. It continues exploring the terrain of our corporal existence from an ecological perspective, with an orientation to process and interconnection. Rather than a dissection of parts and anatomies.
Practitioner’s will start to develop knowledge of the processes that emerge as the ‘body’ for working with their clients who have specific challenges to be supported through holistic awareness.
Physis continues to deepen and build upon the concepts learned in earlier modules of the different aspects of the NAIO™ holistic awareness process for participants, and those on the NAIO™ Practitioner Training and Certification Path. .
Module Objective
On completion of the Physis module, participants will summarize and relay the NAIO understanding of Being and Becoming. They will discuss the meaning of Physis, as Bodily-being that is home to a subjective living process.
Training participants will be able to discuss bio-intelligence, conception, gestation and emergence, as processes and also themes. They will show an understanding of embryological processes and morphogenesis, having explored their role in tissue organisation into what we consider our human-ess.
They will demonstrate a nuanced development of their sensory capacity skills based on touch, perception, and bodily awareness of the polyrhythmic movements of life.
The Physis module can be taken to enhance participants who work in related fields such as somatics, psychology, bodywork, massage, meditation, and care-giving professions. It serves as the prerequisite module and preparation for entering the NAIO™ Practitioner Training Path conducted by NAIO™ International.
The Basis module consists of 110-hours of multi-modal study. Consisting of the following six constituents:
Naio™ International training programs are designed with layers of experience and learning opportunities in mind. The intention is to support people sensing, feeling and becoming deeply connected with the holistic life awareness process of Naio™.
The Basis in-person retreat is scheduled over 5-days. Each day consists of 8 class hours of learning, discussions and experience. Lunch and tea breaks are included. This totals 40-hours of in-person attendance.
The Physis in-person online tutorials consist of four days (usually over 2 weekends) of 5-hour tutorials with breaks included. This totals 20-hours of in-person attendance.
The Physis self-paced online tutorials mirror and support topics delved into for the Basis module. Designed to support the integration of Naio™ the tutorials include awareness practices for participants. This totals 20-hours of attendance.
Training participants are given a suggested reading list of books and also module materials. They can explore the materials at their leisure and also explore related anatomy and physiology concepts for the Basis module. A home-study log is required of hours spent. This totals 25-hours of study.
Training participants schedule an in-person salon with Naio™ founder and educator Prue Jeffries for each module. The salon is an open ended choice around training topics pertinent to the Basis module and practitioner development of Naio™ . This totals 2-hours of in-person attendance.
Physis cohort training participants schedule an in-person group salon with Naio™ founder and educator Prue Jeffries for each module. The salon is designed as an open ended gathering around training topics pertinent to the Basis module and practitioner development of Naio™ . This totals 3-hours of in-person attendance.
Physis module participants wishing to enter the
900-hr Naio™ Practitioner Training Path are asked to complete the entire module, including home-study and submit their log hours. This includes finishing the online portal lessons and built in quizzes. Quizzes and reflective writings help educators learn how to best support you, and be aware of your assimilation of knowledge. Quizzes are not graded; they are guides and a feedback mechanism for participants and educators.
During the practitioner path there are practicum assessments, home study, projects, reflective exercises and ongoing review of training participants with educators throughout the program's length. Requirements for graduation of the entire certification program also include the training directors ongoing evaluation of suitability throughout the program.
To enter the Naio™ Practitioner Training Program please also see all prerequisites needed on the website here: Naio Practitioner Training Prerequisites.
