The Primordia module is an odyssey into the fluid nature of life, and our own bodies. Water is the medium from which life emerges, and so is essential to life. The earth is around 71% water, and our own bodies reflect this being between 50-75% water. This module explores the primordial oceanic stirrings of life. Training participants will explore watery realms of creation, from a macro earth perspective to the micro world of intra-cellular dynamism.
The primordial level of existence is the world where life emerges into form and continues to flourish. It is the beginnings of embodied existence conducted by bio-intelligence. In the Primordia wave-form is the primary conveyer, and communication occurs through movements such as vibration, pulsation and the beginnings of sensory and spatial awareness, and of sentient life.
Concepts explored include pre-nervous-system communication, unicellular and multicellular life, morphogenesis, embryology, creative life movements of the Primordia, totipotency and pluripotency.
In Primordia, the question is asked; when did sensory awareness begin? How can we perceive and experience our bodies in a different context? Can we place our innate fluid origins as primary, resonant with all life - through the communing properties of water. What generative processes begin to emerge?
Training participants will have opportunities to explore themes such as - the body as a watery primordia of communing life forms. When did sensory processes begin?
Somatic practices will support connection and awareness with concepts shared.
In this module, we learn about concepts in the origins of life through the medium of water. The Primordia.
The world of waveform and bio-intelligent orchestration. Further developing skills for being in Open Awareness,
to grow sensing and perceiving capacities, training participants will discover new ways of relating to their
bodies within a fluid context, and how to support this awareness in their clients, with NAIO™
Module Objective
On completion of the Primordia module, participants will summarize and relay key concepts related to the beginnings of life emerging through water. They will demonstrate a basic knowledge of cellular life, and its communicative capacities through movements such as vibration, pulsation and sensation. They will relay the definitions of motility and mobility, that started to emerge in primordial life.
Participants will be able to convey a beginning knowledge of embryological movements and processes, as well as morphogenesis. They can also discuss the concept of
bio-intelligence within the context for NAIO™. They will
also demonstrate an ongoing development of key practitioner skills needed as a NAIO™ Practitioner.
Participants will grow a sensory capacity based on touch, perception, and bodily awareness of the polyrhythmic movements of life. They will have a basic understanding of the biological basis for the development of sensation, and temporal-spatial co-ordination emerging through primordial life. Using somatic education principles and awareness practices, concepts will be grounded in latest understandings in anatomy and physiology, biology,
physics and neuroscience.
The Primordia module can be taken to enhance participants who work in related fields such as somatics, psychology, bodywork, massage, meditation, and care-giving professions.
The Primordia module consists of 110-hours of multi-modal study. Consisting of the following six constituents:
NAIO™ International training programs are designed with layers of experience and learning opportunities in mind. The intention is to support people sensing, feeling and becoming deeply connected with the holistic life awareness process of NAIO™.
The Primordia in-person retreat is scheduled over 5-days. Each day consists of 8 class hours of learning, discussions and experience. Lunch and tea breaks are included. This totals 40-hours of in-person attendance.
The Primordia in-person online tutorials consist of four days (usually over 2 weekends) of 5-hour tutorials with breaks included. This totals 20-hours of in-person attendance.
The Primordia self-paced online tutorials mirror and support topics delved into for the Primordia module. Designed to support the integration of NAIO™ the tutorials include awareness practices for participants. This totals 20-hours of attendance.
Training participants are given a suggested reading list of books and also module materials. They can explore the materials at their leisure and also explore related anatomy and physiology concepts for the Primordia module. A home-study log is required of hours spent. This totals 25-hours of study.
Training participants schedule an in-person salon with NAIO™ founder and educator Prue Jeffries for each module. The salon is an open ended choice around training topics pertinent to the Primordia module and practitioner development of NAIO™ . This totals 2-hours of in-person attendance.
Primordia cohort training participants schedule an in-person group salon with NAIO™ founder and educator Prue Jeffries for each module. The salon is designed as an open ended gathering around training topics pertinent to the Primordia module and practitioner development of NAIO™ . This totals 3-hours of in-person attendance.
Primordia module participants are asked to complete the entire module, including home-study and submit their log hours. This includes finishing the online portal lessons and built in quizzes. Quizzes and reflective writings help educators learn how to best support you, and be aware of your assimilation of knowledge. Quizzes are not graded; they are guides and a feedback mechanism for participants and educators.
During the practitioner path there are practicum assessments, home study, projects, reflective exercises and ongoing review of training participants with educators throughout the program's length. Requirements for graduation of the entire certification program also include the training directors ongoing evaluation of suitability throughout the program..
At the completion of the module participants will demonstrate an entry competency in the following skills:
and shape-shifting.
The entire 110-hour module costs $1250.00 USD.
This includes access to the online learning portal for the module and also training materials. Fees may vary in different global locations outside the USA to accommodate cost of living indexes, and also travel costs for educators.
Module participants are expected to complete the entire six constituents of the Primordia module even if they do not wish to follow the NAIO Practitioner Training Program.
Module participants who finish the entirety of the six constituents of the Primordia module will receive a Certificate of Completion.
A Certificate of Completion for the Primordia module is a prerequisite for studying further modules of NAIO™, and one of the prerequisites for entering the NAIO Practitioner Path.
NAIO International is a member of the following organizations
The NAIO Practitioner Training program maintains the high standards of an Approved Training Program of the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA). Graduates of the NAIO Practitioner Training Program meet all requirements to become a Registered Somatic Movement Educator (RSME) and Therapist (RSMT).
