Why Pre-Requisites Matter

The NAIO™ Practitioner Training includes carefully structured pre-requisites to ensure that every student enters the certification pathway with the appropriate foundation of skill, maturity, and readiness. These requirements uphold both the integrity of the work and the safety and professionalism of the training environment, creating a field of learning that is attuned, responsible, and developmentally supportive.

The pre-requisites serve several essential functions:

Comprehensive screening — allowing both the student and faculty to confirm that the training is a good fit, aligning expectations, capacity, and readiness.

Progressive development — providing the opportunity to cultivate foundational skills in awareness, movement, self-care, and relational touch before engaging in practitioner-level study.

Safety and integrity — ensuring that all participants are prepared to engage with NAIO™ practices in ways that are respectful, mature, and professionally responsible. Interview and qualitative assessment — supporting mutual understanding of training expectations, interpersonal capacity, ethical orientation, and readiness for group and client work.

Training Agreement, Orientation, and Conduct Policy — all applicants are required to read the full Program Materials, Training Agreement, and Conduct Policy prior to admission. The Practitioner Pathway Overview Document provides a summarized outline of the training program and expectations. This confirms that they understand what the NAIO™ Practitioner pathway entails — including its ethical foundations, scope of practice, and the standards of conduct and professional representation expected both during and after certification.

Completion of the minimum pre-requisites and interview does not automatically guarantee entry into the certification program. Final admission is based on the applicant’s overall suitability, including readiness, interpersonal maturity, and alignment with NAIO™ principles, as assessed by the faculty.

By completing the pre-requisites and admissions process, students establish the grounding necessary for deeper study and embodied integration. This preparation supports clarity, resilience, and professional alignment, ensuring that each participant enters the training with both the personal readiness and ethical commitment required to uphold the integrity of the NAIO™ approach.
